The Russian invaders are trying to restrain the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Berdyansk direction and do not abandon attempts to capture Marinka.

This was stated on the air of the telethon by the speaker of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction Valerii Shershen.

He said that Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back enemy assaults in the Avdiivka direction. Also, the enemy is conducting active defense in the Berdyansk direction. The occupiers are trying to neutralize the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, over the past day, the Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 20 times in the Tavria direction and carried out 559 attacks.

"The Russian occupiers continue assault operations in order to capture Marinka and create conditions for covering Avdiivka. The enemy stormed with the task of capturing platoon strongholds of the first echelon, attacked assault groups. In the city of Marinka, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks," Shershen explained.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that the Russian invaders are trying to regain control of the recently de-occupied village of Makarivka, located on the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In addition, we previously reported that in a few days the Ukrainian military liberated settlements in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions from Russian invaders.
