The Observatory issued a special weather warning at noon, indicating that a low-pressure area moved eastward from Hainan Island to the northwest of the South China Sea last night, and its intensity is still weak. The low pressure area is expected to remain a weaker system, with high winds concentrated in its south. The low-pressure area will continue to move eastward during the day today (June 6), crossing the northern part of the South China Sea more slowly, and will pass about 12 kilometers southeast of the Pearl River Estuary from tonight to tomorrow morning (June 6), similar to Hong Kong.
The Observatory expects heavy rainfall in the northern part of the South China Sea due to the influence of the low-pressure area and its associated low-pressure troughs, but these low-pressure systems are kept at a certain distance from the Guangdong coast, and the weather in the area will continue to be extremely hot and there will be several showers of rain this day and tomorrow. The Observatory issued a hot weather warning at 11 o'clock and reminded members of the public to prevent heat stroke and avoid prolonged outdoor activities. As at 11:30 a.m., Hong Kong recorded a high temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, and Sheung Shui and Lau Fau Shan recorded 34 degrees.

The observatory issues a hot weather warning
The giant yellow rubber duck (Rubber Duck) visited Hong Kong again after ten years, but at 10:1 pm on the first day of the official exhibition last Saturday (50th), one of them collapsed with emergency deflating, and was revived in the waters of Victoria Harbour this afternoon (12th) after being transported back to Tsing Yi Dock for repair.
However, members of the public who want to watch ducks should pay attention to the weather conditions, with the Observatory issuing a hot weather warning at around 11 a.m., and as at 11:30 a.m., Hong Kong recorded a high temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, and Sheung Shui and Lau Fau Shan recorded 34 degrees. The Observatory expects that there will be heavy rain and storms in Hong Kong this day and tomorrow due to the influence of low-pressure areas and their associated low-pressure troughs, but the weather will remain extremely hot, with temperatures expected to range from 28 to 33 degrees. The Observatory also expects that the southwest monsoon will gradually become active in the middle of this week, and the weather along the coast of South China will be unstable, with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms, and Thursday (14th) will be cloudy, with sudden rain and several gusts of wind and thunderstorms, and the rain is sometimes quite heavy.
In addition, next Sunday (18th) is Father's Day. The Observatory expected the day to be broadly cloudy, with several showers of rain and local thunderstorms.
