The Prosecutor General's Office of Lithuania has included an investigation against Russian propagandists in the general case of Russian war crimes in Ukraine. In particular, this applies to propagandists Vladimir Solovyov, Olga Skabeeva and Anton Krasovsky.

This was announced by Chairman of the Lithuanian Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense Laurinas Kaščiūnas.

At the end of May, Kaščiūnas appealed to Lithuanian Prosecutor General Nida Grunskene to prosecute Solovyov, Skabeeva and Krasovsky for incitement to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Prosecutor General's Office decided to investigate.

According to the prosecutor's office, this issue will be investigated as part of a wider investigation into the possible illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Belarus.

"According to my application, three citizens of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Solovyov, Olga Skabeeva and Anton Krasovsky, may have been involved in war crimes (...) an investigation will be conducted within the framework of a large-scale pre-trial investigation already launched under universal jurisdiction regarding war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine," Kaščiūnas said in a statement.

He noted that the Lithuanian Criminal Code does not provide for a statute of limitations for incitement to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Lithuanian parliamentarian also clarified that his statement to the Prosecutor General states that Soloviev, Skabeeva and Krasovsky systematically, methodically and constantly publicly call on the leadership of the Russian army, soldiers and fighters of paramilitary groups "to carry out treatment prohibited by international law with persons and to kill persons protected by international law in Ukraine."

"In addition, it is noted that V. Solovyov incites to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity against other European states and peoples, in particular Lithuania, Poland and Germany," Kaščiūnas added.

The latest scandalous statements of propagandists

After an unknown drone attack on Moscow on May 30, Solovyov called for the destruction of Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk. The propagandist also lied to the Russians that Russia was allegedly at war not with Ukraine, but with NATO.

The day after the invaders blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric station, Solovyov called for blowing up the Kyiv hydroelectric station as well, because then "many people will die without a nuclear strike."

In addition, Solovyov stated that the Baltic states should be "denazified" and threatened that this would happen after they "finish with Ukraine" or in parallel with it.

As for Skabeeva, in November 2022, she stated that Russia in Ukraine "needs such an intensification of hostilities, so it is necessary to squeeze and pressure them to turn to us for a truce or peace."

In December 2022, Skabeeva called for "brothers Kyiv" while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had an overseas tour.

The propagandist also invented a fake story about SBU officers allegedly playing table football with relics from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

And Krasovsky in October 2022 called for drowning Ukrainian children "in Tysin, right where the duck flows."

In May 2023, in one of the propaganda programs, Krasovsky said with curses that he had not changed his mind about the murder of Ukrainian children.
