Dr. Dinesh died of a heart attack.

Ahmedabad: Renowned cardiologist Dr Gaurav Gandhi from Gujarat's Jamnagar city died of cardiac arrest at his residence here, family sources said. He was 41 years old. His family members and a colleague gave this information on Wednesday.

The city is in shock and mourning with the sudden demise of Dr. Gandhi. Hundreds of people attended his funeral. Dr. Gandhi used to serve in Guru Gobind Singh Government Hospital. "Dr Gandhi had performed a large number of cardiac surgeries," said Dr H K Vasavada of the hospital.

Dr Dinesh Gandhi suffered a heart attack and died during treatment at a hospital, Vasavada said. The news is very sad for the doctor community of Jamnagar that a doctor like Dinesh, who had done many surgeries, is no longer with us. May God give peace to his soul.

According to the family, Dr. Dinesh reached home after seeing the patients at the private hospital Sharda Hospital on Monday. After coming home, he had dinner and went to sleep.

In the morning, when the family saw him lying unconscious, they called an ambulance and took him to GG Hospital. Here the doctors tried to bring him back to consciousness, but failed. In such a situation, he was declared dead.

Doctors said Dr Dinesh died of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, two children and old parents.
