A meeting of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences (GMEA) was held on June 7. The meeting discussed the issues and prospective projects facing the academy, and the organization addressed the issue.

The EPA reports that Giorgi Kvesitadze, who has served as the academy's president since 2013, has indicated at the GMEA general meeting that his powers have expired. GmEA vice president, historian, and publicist Roin Metreveli was then elected the new president of the academy.

Not to be overlooked is the conflict that alcohol abuse can cause within the family. He has been elected a true member of GMEA since 1993 and has served as vice president since 2013.
