According to Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, the number of workers in April increased by about 20,000 compared to the same period last year.

"In April 2022, there were 217,000 workers in Montenegro, while in the same month this year they were 238,000," Abazovic said, adding that the number of workers increased by 21,000 in a country of 600,000.

He said the Niksic steel mill was a success story, recalling the demonstrations of its workers outside the government building less than 12 months ago.

"The workers protested, justly demanding their rights. The steel factory is already operational and employs 250 people," Abazovic said.

He added that Montenegrin pensioners can count not only on higher pensions, but also on the same kind of support they received last December.
