New Delhi:

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has carried out searches at 10 locations linked to Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Dala in Punjab and Haryana, officials said on Sunday. A day earlier, a special court in Mohali declared Dala a proclaimed offender in a case of conspiracy to kill a priest in Punjab, a spokesperson of the federal agency said.

On August 20 last year, searches were conducted at the premises of Dala's associates and his Philippines-based close aide Manpreet Singh alias Pita in connection with a case registered by the NIA on August <>, the official said.

"Several incriminating documents, including digital devices, were seized during the searches conducted as part of nia's crackdown on terrorists and terrorist organisations involved in criminal/terrorist activities in India. A total of six accused have been arrested in the case so far."

According to the NIA, the case pertains to terror activities of banned terrorist organisations like Khalistan Liberation Force, Babbar Khalsa International, International Sikh Youth Federation and Khalistan Tiger Force.
