On the completion of nine years of the Modi government, Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda will hold a 'Tiffin Discussion' in Noida, Uttar Pradesh today. About 250 office-bearers including UP BJP President Bhupender Chaudhary, MP Mahesh Sharma will be present on this occasion. The BJP said that after the 'discussion on tea', 'discussion on tiffin' will give a sense of collectiveness.

Ahead of next year's Lok Sabha polls, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started organising programmes through various means to highlight the achievements of the Modi-led central government. 'Discussion on Tiffin' is also a link in the Mahajan Sampark Campaign, which runs till June 30.

Earlier on Tuesday, senior party leaders, including J P Nadda, held marathon meetings in the last 2024 hours to review and strengthen the organisational mechanism ahead of the upcoming assembly elections and the 24 Lok Sabha polls. Party leaders, including general secretary (organisation) B L Santhosh, held meetings on Monday night and Tuesday, sources said. Party sources, however, said the meetings took stock of the current political situation as well as organisational matters.

After losing to the Congress in the Karnataka Assembly elections, the BJP is making every effort to ensure a good performance in the upcoming state assembly elections. Assembly elections are due later this year in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, where the Congress is in power. Assembly elections are also due in Madhya Pradesh, which is ruled by the BJP. Elections are also due in Telangana, where the Bharat Rashtra Samithi has been ruling since the formation of the state in 2014. While the BJP is trying to oust the Congress from power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, it also faces the challenge of retaining power in Madhya Pradesh.
