French President Emmanuel Macron said his country expresses full solidarity with Ukraine after the horrific attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.

He wrote about this on Twitter.

He said France condemns this horrific act that endangers the population.

"I expressed solidarity with President Zelenskyy after the attack on the dam of the Kakhovka HPP. France condemns this horrific act that endangers the population," Macron wrote.

In addition, the French president said that in the coming hours his country will send assistance to Ukrainians to meet immediate needs.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which he spoke about the consequences of the Russian blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the international organizations of the UN and the Red Cross to immediately join the rescue of people in the occupied part of Kherson region.

In addition, we previously reported that Ukrhydroenergo Director General Ihor Sirota said that the Kakhovka HPP blown up by Russian terrorists cannot be restored.
