President Rumen Radev Rumen Georgiev Radevis a Bulgarian military officer, major-general in the reserve. A former commander thanked the caretaker cabinet for a job well done.

"You have not only dealt with the crisis, but also opened up opportunities for the development of the country. You gave peace of mind to the next governments. I expect that we will soon reap the fruits of your labor," the Head of State addressed the ministers of the caretaker cabinet.

"Just 10 months ago, you took responsibility for running the country in the throes of a cocktail of crises. Record fuel prices, galloping inflation, lack of contracts, tenders, slots, interconnector, frozen infrastructure projects, lack of laws developed under the recovery and sustainability plan. Stagnation in the modernization of the army, record migrant push, war near our territory. That is why, upon taking office, we noted a number of priorities – defending the Bulgarian interest, strengthening security and deepening European integration," Radev said.

Deputy ministers from the caretaker government were dismissed

"Currently, according to statistics, Bulgaria has the lowest fuel prices and this is because of the success you have achieved, namely Lukoil to comply with the Bulgarian authorities and pay taxes here. Bulgaria, thanks to your efforts and professionalism, has established itself as an important energy factor," the Head of State commented.

For his part, caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev also thanked the President for his trust.

"We started our work in an environment that the state was paused, an environment in which crises followed one after another. An environment in which Bulgarian citizens and businesses feel uncertain about how winter will pass, "Donev said.
