Due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP by Russians, there may be a shortage of drinking water in some settlements, so we must be prepared for all challenges.

The authors of the dovidka.info project from the Center for Strategic Communications have created a video instruction on how to purify water at home.

To purify water at home, first strain the dirty liquid through a clean cloth. Let it stand in a closed container for 24-48 hours. After that, filter the liquid from the resulting sediment.

If you do not have a filter, you can make it yourself. To do this, you need an ordinary plastic bottle, gravel, sand, or wood or activated carbon. Cut off the bottom of the bottle, pour the filter element into the container and fill the settled water inside.

After filtration, boil the liquid. After that, water can be consumed.

Blowing up the Kakhovka HPP

Russian forces blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric station on the night of June 6, flooding a significant part of the Kherson region, including residential buildings and outbuildings, with Dnieper water. The water level can rise to 5 m. Evacuation is being carried out in the region. The station is completely destroyed and cannot be restored.

As a result of a war crime, residents of Kherson region and occupied Crimea may be left without drinking water. The blowing up of the plant poses a threat to the Zaporizhzhia NPP (so far everything is calm there), as well as to the biosphere.

Upon the explosion of hydroelectric power plants, Ukraine convenes an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council. At the same time, the Russian authorities cynically call the terrorist attack "a sabotage of Kyiv", and the Russian Investigation Committee opened a criminal case.
