Ukrhydroenergo told about the environmental catastrophe caused by Russian terrorists. The station was blown up by the enemy at 2:15. There was a large-scale destruction. Within 2-4 days, the Kakhovka reservoir will be triggered.

As the general director of Ukrhydroenergo Igor Sirota told TSN.ua, the consequences of the disaster for the environment will be enormous.

"There were more than 450 tons of turbine and transformer oil at the station that fell into the river. This will have severe environmental consequences for the territories below Kakhovka and towards Kherson and towards the Black Sea. We will need to take all measures today to stop the environmental disaster, to give people the opportunity to quickly evacuate. For us, the most important thing is that people do not die and objects downstream from the Kakhovka station do not suffer," said Ihor Syrota.

Recall that after the criminal explosion of the Kakhovka HPP, at least 150 tons of engine oil got into the Dnieper.

Earlier, ecologist Alexander Sokolenko said that the Russian blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station poses a huge threat to the ecology of southern Ukraine.

The SES and the Ministry of Defense warned that as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station, water washed away Russian mines that could be demolished by streams.
