Over the past day, the enemy inflicted 14 missile and 40 air strikes, carried out 51 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties, private residential buildings, educational institutions, other civilian and administrative infrastructure have been damaged.

This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 5.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Over the past day, 29 clashes took place.

  • In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
  • In the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to penetrate the DRG across the state border of Ukraine near the settlement of Zelene, Kharkiv region, and also launched missile strikes in the areas of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv and air strikes in the areas of Ivashka, Ohirtseve, Gatishche of Kharkiv region. Carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the settlements of Karpovichi, Chernihiv region; Znob-Novgorodske, Brusky, Atynske, Basivka, Yunakivka, Sadky, Myropillia, Turia, Grabovske, Oleksandrivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Shevchenkove of Sumy region, as well as Ivashky, Udy, Chervona Zorya, Hoptivka, Krasne, Zelene, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Karaichne, Budarky and Chuhunovka in Kharkiv region.
  • In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Novoselivske, Luhansk region. Struck an air strike near Serhiivka, Donetsk region. The enemy shelled Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dovhenske, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Berestovo in Kharkiv region, and Novoselivske in Luhansk region.
  • In the Lyman direction, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. Artillery shelling hit Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.
  • In the Bakhmut direction, the invaders conducted offensive operations in the direction of Ivanovske, were not successful. Air strikes were carried out in the areas of Vasyutynske, Toretsk and Pivnichne. Enemy artillery shelling hit areas of the settlements of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Khromovo, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupocki, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, Dyliivka and New York in Donetsk region.
  • In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. Struck an air strike near Avdiivka. Artillery shelling of the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Karlivka of Donetsk region.
  • In the Maryinka direction,our defenders repelled all the attacks of the occupiers near the city of Marinka. At the same time, the enemy launched an air strike within this settlement. Artillery shelling of the settlements of Hostre, Marinka, Pobeda of Donetsk region.
  • In the Shakhtarsk sector, Russians shelled Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Novoukrainka in Donetsk region.
  • In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to conduct defensive actions. He conducted air strikes in the areas of Novopil in Donetsk region, Olhivske in Zaporizhia region, Beryslav and Vesele in Kherson region. Artillery shelling of the settlements of Vilne Pole, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Temyrivka, Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Stepove and Kamianske of Zaporizhia region; Kozatske, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Dniprovske, Kizomis of Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

Response of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Aviation of the defense forces during the day inflicted 15 strikes on areas of concentration of enemy personnel. 6 enemy reconnaissance UAVs were destroyed.

During the day, units of missile troops and artillery hit 3 control points, 2 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, 4 ammunition depots, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems and 4 stations of enemy electronic warfare.
