Jaipur:

A special team of Rajasthan Police has arrested two accused from Churu in connection with the multi-crore robbery case in Mumbai. Police have recovered diamond jewellery, gold biscuits and cash worth crores of rupees from them. Police said that on Sunday, mahendra and Manoj, who were in the car, were caught near Derajsar on Rajasar-Bikaner road and interrogated intensively. Mahendra, along with his accomplices Kishan Nath and Ashok, confessed to robbing gold and diamond-studded jewellery and cash from a jeweller in Mumbai, Maharashtra, he said.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team recovered jewellery worth around Rs 1.10 crore, one kg of gold biscuits and Rs 18 lakh in cash, police said.

Hariram, a resident of Ladnun, works as a jeweller in Hyderabad, Telangana. Hariram had gone to Mumbai with jewellery on the morning of May 31.

Four youths, who came in a white Innova car, posed as Delhi Crime Branch officials and robbed the victim, police said.

He said that a case was registered at Sion police station in Mumbai on the incident of robbery of about Rs 62.<> crore. Tracing the accused, the Mumbai Police reached Churu, where two accused were arrested with the help of local police.
