The movement of passenger trains on the affected tracks resumed after the train accident in Odisha's Balasore. The train was run on the up and down line of the track. In the presence of the Railway Minister, the entire team worked promptly and restored the tracks.

A CBI inquiry has been recommended into the Balasore train accident. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that in the initial investigation, there is a possibility of a fault in the interlocking system. Efforts are being made to normalize the rail route by Wednesday morning.

Relief and rescue work in Balasore accident has almost been completed. The track repair work at Bahanga Bazar station has also been completed and the trial has also been completed by running trains from upline and downline

The repair work was carried out late last night under the supervision of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The Railway Minister himself was present on the occasion and saw the trial of the train on the up and down line himself. And he praised the employees engaged in relief and rescue.

At least 275 people were killed and over 1,000 injured in a train accident in Odisha's Balasore. Of the 1,175 injured, 793 have been discharged after treatment. However, the condition of many of the injured is also serious.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee questioned the government over the train accident in Odisha. "Why were there no armor systems in both the trains? Why was the Railway Minister silent when I mentioned it?... There are two kinds of statements coming and there is something black in the dal. We want the truth to come out.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attacked the government by tweeting. Rahul Gandhi tweeted that even after the death of more than 270 people, there is no accountability. The government cannot shy away from taking responsibility for such a painful accident.
