The main task of the units of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the "Freedom of Russia" legion is to pull the forces of the Russian army from the territory of Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed by the military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Oleksandr Kovalenko on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

"Today, the main goal is to reduce the presence of Russian occupiers on the territory of Ukraine. That is, the creation of such conditions that they are forced to distribute the resource, taking it from the war zone to the Russian Federation," he said.

According to his calculations, along the border with Ukraine, the Russian army has concentrated only about 17,<> personnel.

"This number is enough to hold from 25 to 50 km of the border in defense, no more. And the border with the unoccupied part of Ukraine in Russia is almost 700 km. That is, they can control 14 times less than they need," the military expert said.

We will remind, military expert Alexander Kovalenko also believes that raids into the Belgorod region of military units of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the legion "Freedom of Russia" also indicate attempts to create a so-called "buffer zone" on the territory of the Russian Federation.
