The Retail Price Index (ITC), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in Bulgaria, this week fell by 0.99 percent to 2.280 points. The level of the index at the beginning of the year was 2,316 points. It then reached its spring high of 2,480 points in the first third of March.

The base level of ITC - 1,000 points, is from 2005.

Greenhouse tomatoes are cheaper by 11.1% and are sold at BGN 3.05 per kilogram, the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (SCCBT) reported in its weekly bulletin.

The price of greenhouse cucumbers rises by 10.7 percent and they are bought at BGN 3.30 per kilogram. Red peppers are cheaper by 0.5 percent to 4.28 leva per kilogram at the end of the week.

Potatoes rose by 6.8 percent and were sold at 1.56 leva per kilogram, the price of carrots rose by 7.2 percent to 1.94 leva per kilogram. With cabbage, there is a decrease of 19.1% and it is bought at BGN 1.06 per kilogram. Green salad rises by 9.4 percent and is sold at 1.39 leva per piece.

Strawberries are cheaper by 17.1% and are traded at BGN 4.30 per kilogram. Also cheaper are apples from imports - by 3.4 percent to 1.71 leva per kilogram, lemons - by 3.8 percent to 2.28 leva per kilogram, bananas - by 3 percent to 2.94 leva per kilogram. The prices of cherries have not yet been reported in the weekly bulletins of SCCBT.

Cow's cheese is cheaper by 1.1% and is traded at BGN 11.04 per kilogram, and Vitosha cheese is bought 1 percent more expensive - BGN 17.34 per kilogram.

The price of yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) remains unchanged as a bucket of 400 years is bought for BGN 1.20. There is also no change in milk (3 percent fat content), which is sold for BGN 2.25. per liter.

Chicken meat rises by 2.3 percent to 6.30 leva per kilogram. The eggs (size M) keep their price from last week and are bought at 0.35 leva per piece.

Rice rises by 0.3% and is bought at BGN 3.08 per kilogram, and lentils - by 1.2% and are offered for BGN 4.21. per kilogram.

The price of type 500 flour increases by 0.7% and it is bought at BGN 1.37 per kilogram.

The oil rises by 2.5% and is sold at BGN 3.24 per liter in a plastic bottle.

A packet of butter of 125 grams is cheaper by 1.9 percent and traded at 2.55 leva.

Sugar rises by 2.5% and is sold at 2.45 leva per kilogram at the end of the week.
