The candidate for the Democratic nomination for the US presidential elections, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., again attacked the policy of the Joe Biden Administration around the Ukrainian conflict, denouncing that "every US decision on Ukraine seems to be intended to prolong the war and maximize bloodshed."
He said this during an interview at the SCALE Global summit held last week in Las Vegas.
"And, in fact, President Biden recently indicated that the reason we are in Ukraine is Vladimir Putin's regime change," emphasized the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, recalling that Defense Minister Lloyd Austin declared in April 2022 that the reason for his country's involvement was "to exhaust the Russian Army and degrade its ability to fight anywhere else in the world."
"If this is actually a war of attrition, like what [the government] is describing, it is the opposite of a humanitarian mission. And in that case what we have done is destroy this small country with a war that we could have solved from the beginning," he said.
On the other hand, Kennedy denounced that the Ukrainian authorities do not say "honestly" the number of dead in their ranks, which according to all indications point to be close to 350,000.
In that line, last week the Democrat said that the US government repeats "incessantly" the lie that Russia had no reason to launch its military operation in Ukraine, but the conflict was provoked by the West within the framework of a strategic plan for the "expansion of the US empire".
Brilliant synopsis of the historical context for the Ukraine War. Can anyone read this and still maintain, as the Biden administration does incessantly, that the invasion was "unprovoked"? #Kennedy24https://t.co/zjCugyzQfq

"No one in the [Biden] Administration or the foreign policy establishment is that ignorant. Of course they know it was provoked. They wanted war as part of their grand strategic plan to destroy any country like Russia that resisted American imperial expansion," Kennedy wrote in a Twitter thread at the time.
