(CNN Spanish) -- The Argentine group Los Fabulosos Cadillacs surpassed the record of attendance at a concert in the Zócalo in Mexico City that Grupo Firme had with 280,000 people. The Argentines achieved a full house of 300,000 attendees on Saturday, according to estimates by the Government of Mexico City.

The concert began at 8:30 p.m. local time and lasted for one hour and forty minutes.

Some people interviewed by CNN said they had been camping for at least a day to get the best spots so they could see one of the legends of Latin American ska up close, live and for free. The rain would not prevent it.

A moment that stole hearts, without a doubt, occurred when the chords of "Following the moon" sounded and, at that precise moment, the star emerged from the clouds, while thousands of people chanted the song.

Emblematic songs of the group such as "Manuel Santillán, el león", "El muerto", "El genio del dub", "Calaveras y diablitos", "Malbicho", "Matador" and "El satánico Dr. Cadillac", among others, were heard.

Vicentico, vocalist and co-founder of the band, thanked the audience and dedicated a few words to the Mexican public: "Thank you very much, dear, dear, until always, it has been an honor to play for you."
