In Kyiv, while extinguishing a fire in one of the buildings, rescuers of the State Emergency Service noticed in the room, probably, an unexploded warhead of a drone and reported the discovery to the police. Ammunition was taken out of the building engulfed in fire to prevent a large-scale explosion.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

The incident occurred in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. During another shelling of the capital, a fragment of a drone fell into the building of one of the factories, as a result of which a fire occurred. All emergency services, including police explosives, immediately arrived at the scene.

"While extinguishing the fire, SES rescuers noticed a probably unexploded warhead of a drone in the room and reported the find to the police. At high temperatures, the ammunition could detonate at any time and lead to a powerful explosion with serious consequences," the message says.

As a result, police captain Taras Dmytruk and police lieutenant Roman Khomenko put on special ammunition, breathing apparatus and entered the premises through the fire. The police had to neutralize the 50-kilogram warhead of the drone in flames and smoke everywhere.

Recall that on the night of May 4, the Russians attacked Ukraine missiles from strategic bombers Tu-95MS and UAV. According to preliminary data, none of the targets flew to the capital.
