Greek ouzo is taking over world markets. Bulgaria ranks third in terms of import of alcoholic beverages.

With advertising and good quality, the Greeks taught foreigners to drink ouzo, commented from the Union of Producers. 75% of ouzo exports go to European countries. The highest demand is in Germany, and Iraq is second, and Bulgaria is third, according to the Chamber of Commerce.

Summer holidays in Bulgaria are twice as cheap as in Greece

On the European market, there is already a strong demand for a particular rakia produced only in Crete, where the local owners of the tavern offer it free of charge to customers to advertise it. Tourists vacationing on Crete are also looking for this rakia in their countries, which led to a record export from Greek producers, BNR reported.

Foreigners comment on social networks and in front of the Greek media that they prefer Greek ouzo because of good quality and logical price.

At the same time, the rise of some of the food products in the commercial network continues. Greeks now buy very rarely products from established brands and look for cheap goods, albeit from an unknown manufacturer.
