On Sunday, June 4, when Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance of Children Who Died as a Result of Russian Aggression, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emotionally recalled the crimes of President of the aggressor state Vladimir Putin and his cronies in the Kremlin.

He spoke about this in his traditional evening address.

The Ukrainian leader stressed that today we remember the children who died since 2014, who "would have been alive if a bunch of bandits in the Kremlin, in Moscow, had not felt like leaders who allegedly have the right to decide the fate of peoples."

"Each of these thugs will be convicted. I have no doubt about it. All necessary legal institutions are working for this result," the President assured.

About dead and abducted children

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that only during the full-scale war, 485 children were reliably killed.

"This is a number that we can officially confirm by knowing the details of each child. Unfortunately, the true number is higher. Every time we liberate our land from Russian invaders, we learn the terrible truth about the occupation. About how many people, how many children are in burials in the occupied territory - in the graves of this war, this aggression. And how many are still under the ruins in Ukrainian cities and villages burned by Russia," the president said.

The Ukrainian leader noted that there is currently no complete information about hundreds of thousands of children who were deported to Russia.

"As of today, thanks to various efforts, 371 children have been returned to Ukraine from deportation. Despite the fact that we know for certain about at least 19,505 deported Ukrainian children, and this is only a fraction of all those little Ukrainians who are still with the enemy. Which we all have to return," the president said.

On the consequences of a missile strike near the Dnieper

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the completion of a rescue operation in the town of Pidhorodne in the Dnipro region, where a Russian missile destroyed houses.

"25 people were injured, five of them children. David, he is 6 years old, is in serious condition, the guy is hospitalized. Denys, 11 years old, is also in serious condition, hospitalized. Oleksandr, 15 years old, is also a serious condition. Lisa, 17 years old, – outpatient treatment. Kira, she is 10 years old, – mine-blast trauma, outpatient treatment. It is painful to see such reports. Lisa, a 2-year-old girl, she was killed by this Russian missile. Probably Iskander. My condolences to family and friends...," the President said.

About countries that help Russia

Zelenskyy also announced a special meeting on sanctions held today with the participation of representatives of the Intelligence Directorate, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the government and the President's Office.

"We analyzed in detail how Russia circumvents sanctions and who helps it. Different countries, different companies, without which Russia would not be able to produce means of terror, including missiles. Unfortunately, the terrorist state manages to use the technologies of the world through a network of suppliers, manages to circumvent international sanctions regimes," the leader said Ukrainian.

According to the president, Ukrainian authorities see every way to circumvent the existing sanctions, each country, whose territory or jurisdiction, whose citizens are used by Russia to continue terror.

"We must close all such areas - together with partners - so that there are no products of the free world in Russian missiles, Russian weapons. The necessary steps will be taken," the president assured.

Recall that on Saturday, June 3, during the air alarm in the Pidhorodne community in the suburbs of the Dnieper explosion sounded. Rocket attack damaged a two-storey residential building.
