Russians in the occupied Ukrainian lands refuse to treat children whose parents do not have a Russian passport or do not support Russia.
This was told by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov.
"For the purpose of mass passportization, the occupiers of the Zaporizhzhia region are jeopardizing the most valuable thing - our children. They staged medical terror, and children are used as a bargaining chip to blackmail their parents," Fedorov said.
Since June, children with diabetes and other chronic diseases have not been given free medicines unless their parents have a Russian passport, he said.
In addition, imported Russian doctors in ambulances refuse hospitalization to children whose parents do not support Russia.
Fedorov also said that the occupiers conducted mass medical examinations in schools and traditionally found a lot of "diseases" in children.
Russians offer "treatment", but with an asterisk. The presence of a Russian passport for children who are 14 years old, or statements from parents on the recognition of younger children as "citizens of Russia," Fedorov said.
We will remind, near the temporarily occupied Melitopol there was an explosion on the railway, which the Russians used the track to transport personnel and military equipment.
