The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced alternative examination centres for candidates from Imphal (Manipur) in the recruitment examination for the posts of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner to be held on July 80. This information was given in an official statement on Thursday. Manipur, which has been witnessing ethnic clashes for nearly a month, witnessed a sudden spike in clashes and firing between militants and security forces on Sunday, officials said. According to officials, <> people have been killed in the violence that began on May <>.

"Due to the prevailing situation in Manipur, the UPSC has announced alternative examination centres for candidates from Imphal (Manipur) for the recruitment examination for the posts of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner on July 2," a statement issued by the Personnel Ministry said. These candidates will be offered exam centres in the form of Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima (Nagaland), Shillong (Meghalaya), Dispur (Assam), Jorhat (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal) and Delhi.

The option to change the examination centre will be available to the candidates of Imphal Centre through interactive voice response system (IVRS) facility. In this regard, a message will be sent to each candidate on his registered mobile number with the Commission. Candidates will have to use their registered mobile number to avail this facility through IVRS.

Candidates can contact the Union Public Service Commission on the following telephone numbers 23070641, 23381073, 23384508 and 23387876 from 2023:12 noon on June 00, 12 to 2023 pm on June 2023, 12. These telephone numbers will be operational from 00:12 pm on June 2023, 9 to 30 pm on June 6, 00. Candidates can call between <>.<> am and <>.<> pm during this period.
