The European Space Agency will carry out the first-ever live broadcast from Mars, during which the 20-year-old Mars Express orbiter will transmit images of the Red Planet to Earth.

Pictures of the Red Planet can be viewed during the broadcast on the YouTube channel of the European Space Agency (ESA).

Scientists spent several months to prepare the orbiter, which was located at an altitude of 17.5 thousand km above the surface of Mars, to conduct such a historical broadcast. According to scientists, this event is dedicated to the anniversary of the Mars Express spacecraft in orbit of Mars.
