Russia's war against Ukraine has not affected China's views on any potential attack on Taiwan.

Writes about it CNN.

According to the publication, the war in Ukraine could lead to increased military spending and efforts to develop military capabilities in Europe.

China-Taiwan conflict

The United States' concerns have grown rapidly with China's efforts to build up its navy as well as militarize islands in the South China Sea.

Those concerns have escalated over the past year as Beijing has twice staged large-scale military drills around the island of Taiwan and refused to condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This invasion has also drawn China's increased attention to Taiwan," the report said.

The current Chinese Communist Party continues to claim that the island is their property, despite Beijing never controlling it.

There is no evidence that the war in Ukraine has "changed China's thinking about timeframes or methodology" regarding a possible attack on Taiwan. The party promised to unite the island with the mainland, if necessary - by force," writes CNN.

It is noteworthy that the former US Secretary of State (1973-1977), political scientist, one of the most influential geostrategists of the United States Henry Kissinger warned that humanity is on the verge of World War III.
