New Delhi:

Rahul Gandhi's statement on the Muslim League in America has created a stir in politics in the country. Rahul Gandhi has described the Muslim League as a completely secular party in a press conference. Bjp leaders and Union ministers have hit back at Rahul Gandhi and the Congress. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has targeted the Congress leader. "Rahul Gandhi and Congress should clarify whether their fight is with BJP or India?"

Dharmendra Pradhan, cabinet minister for education, skill development and entrepreneurship in the Modi government, tweeted, "It has become a habit of Rahul Gandhi to insult the country outside the country. Whenever they go abroad, they make statements that demean India and its democracy. Today, when India's credibility is touching new heights all over the world, the world is looking at India with hope, at a time when Rahul Gandhi's statements that undermine India from foreign soil are very unfortunate.

"
Rahul Gandhi and Congress should clarify whether their fight is with BJP or India? If the Congress's fight is with the BJP, then fight a lot from the platforms inside the country. But stop insulting the country again and again outside the country. Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the nation for his statements."

Before
Dharmendra Pradhan, the BJP said that Rahul Gandhi does not know anything and he makes statements without thinking. Bjp leader Sudhanshu Trivedi countered Gandhi's statement, saying, "He should first read history and then speak. The Congress used to link the Muslim League with the BJP earlier and Rahul is now saying something else."

What secularism is Rahul talking about?
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also targeted Rahul Gandhi. On Rahul Gandhi's statement that the Muslim League is secular, Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "What secular has Rahul Gandhi said about the Muslim League? What is the definition of secularism in the Constitution of India or has Rahul devised a definition on his own?"

Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi's remarks on the
Muslim League. "The Congress considers the Muslim League to be secular, but targets the BJP for being divisive. The country needs to understand that the Congress is trying to sow the seeds of division."

How is Jinnah's party secular?
"It was very unfortunate that some people in the country still consider a person who supports the Muslim League as secular," Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, asking why Mohammad Ali Jinnah's Muslim League, which was "responsible" for the partition of India on religious lines, was "responsible". How can there be a secular party?

Bjp IT cell chief Amit Malviya called it a compulsion of Rahul Gandhi. Malviya said Jinnah's Muslim League, which is responsible for the partition of India on religious lines, is a "secular" party according to Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi may be less educated, but he is deceitful and devious here... It is also their compulsion to remain acceptable in Wayanad.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak said, "This (Rahul Gandhi's statement) is very sad. The people of India will never accept the insult of the country on foreign soil.

During his six-day visit to the
US, Rahul Gandhi was talking to reporters at the National Press Club in Washington DC on Friday. Meanwhile, when a journalist asked him about the Congress' alliance with the Muslim League in Kerala, he said that the Muslim League is a completely secular party and there is nothing non-secular in it.

The Indian Union Muslim League is an ally of the Congress-led UDF in Kerala. Before being disqualified from Parliament, Rahul Gandhi was a Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad.
