The so-called "fighter coalition" for Ukraine currently includes eight countries. Now we are talking not only about the F-16, but also about other models of modern combat aircraft.

This was told by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva, Evropeyska Pravda reports.

According to him, after President Zelensky's visit to the summit of the European Political Community in Moldova, a "coalition of fighter jets" was discussed. The Ukrainian delegation was able to achieve "real steps" to accelerate pilot training for fourth-generation fighters, "including but not limited to the F-16."

"The basis of the European part of the Coalition has already taken shape with the participation of eight countries (more will come soon): Great Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal and France. A separate joint statement on this matter has even been adopted with the President of France," Ihor Zhovkva said.

According to him, the agreements reached allow us to count on concrete decisions on the volume and mechanism of pilot training, maintenance personnel, as well as the creation of conditions and appropriate infrastructure for fighters during the next meeting in the Ramstein format.

Earlier, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak said that, for his part, Kyiv would do everything as quickly as possible so as not to delay the process of obtaining F-16 fighters. Next - it's up to the partners. Now we are talking "not about a very long time, but about months."
