Representative military units of the Bulgarian Army will conduct military rituals throughout the country, which will honor the memory of the poet – revolutionary Hristo Botev and those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria. This year marks 147 years since the heroic death of Hristo Botev and his detachment on Okolchitsa peak. The patron of the celebrations is President Rumen Radev.

On the Day of Tribute to the Memory of Hristo Botev and those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria June 2 at 12:00, the siren system will be activated for 2 minutes. When giving the signal, all pedestrians and vehicles in the settlements in the country should suspend their traffic on the streets and squares by remaining in place.

In the hometown of Hristo Botev - Kalofer with a military ritual from the museum will be exported the flag of Botev's detachment and flowers will be laid in front of the monument of the poet.

On Mount Okolchitsa will be held the traditional nationwide pilgrimage to the monument of the revolutionary. It will be attended by servicemen from the Brigade Command - Blagoevgrad and the Representative Brass Band of the Land Forces.

In Sofia at 11.30 am in front of the bust-monument of Hristo Botev in Borisova Gradina will be held a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 147th anniversary of the death of the revolutionary and in memory of the heroes who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria.
