Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has promised a "firm response" to deaths in Kyiv near a closed shelter in a missile strike. At the same time, he hinted at the mayor of the capital, the previously famous boxer Vitali Klitschko, noting that "there may be a knockout."

The leader spoke about this Ukrainian on Thursday, June 1, answering journalists' questions at a press conference in Moldova on the sidelines of the second summit of the European Political Community, which was broadcast by the Rada channel.

"Everyone will be responsible. The reaction will be firm," Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured, noting that he would understand this situation immediately after his return to the Ukrainian capital.
A media spokesman clarified whether he could name "specific people" who would be held responsible.

"Here are very specific people. You have to come, they will show me the details. We will understand. Surely people will be responsible for the fact that someone lost... People lost the opportunity to get into the bomb shelter and, unfortunately, died. We have few enemies in Russia, you see, we also have internal ones. I would say... and many journalists. There is a word, spinning, but I can't," Zelensky said, adding that after his return to the capital, some "may have a knockout."

As previously reported, on the night of June 1, the wreckage of one of the missiles with which the aggressor state attacked Kyiv fell near a polyclinic in the Desnyansky district. The shelter in it was closed during the alarm. Three people died here, including a nine-year-old girl, 16 people were injured.

The husband of one of the victims said that the wreckage fell just as he was looking for a guard to open the bomb shelter.

Recall that on June 1, the prosecutor's office and the police of Kyiv conducted searches in the Kyiv City State Administration. The reason for the investigative actions was reports from residents about closed shelters during the missile attack of the Russian Federation.
