The U.S. Treasury Department has announced that it has imposed new sanctions against individuals connected to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Revolutionary Guard.

The EPA reports that it has been reported on the official website of the U.S. Treasury Department.

It has been reported that 3 individuals, 1 company, and 2 high-ranking officials from the SEPA Intelligence Agency have been added to the sanctions list.

The Biden administration has imposed sanctions against iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (SEPAH) officials accused of plotting abroad against former national security adviser John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The sanctions have targeted Mohammed Rza Ansari, an official of the SEPAH-Quds Force unit, which is tasked with carrying out secret operations abroad, including spying and planning deadly operations against Iranian dissidents and non-Iranian citizens in the U.S., the Middle East, Europe, Africa.

"Ansari has conspired with two former U.S. government officials with the support of Iranian citizen Shahram Poursafi," the Finance Ministry said in a statement.

Today's sanctions also apply to Husein Hafez Amin, a dual Iranian and Turkish citizen.

The sanctions list has also included two high-ranking officials of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Intelligence Agency, Rouhallah Bazgandi and Reza Seraj. Bazgandi is reported to be involved in plotting and monitoring IRGC-IO operations in Iraq and Syria as well as against Israeli citizens.

"Bazgandi has also been involved in plots against journalists and Israeli citizens in Istanbul," the report said.
