On April 12, 2023, the 49th National Assembly was convened. All Bulgarian citizens had expectations that after the next early parliamentary elections there will be sustainable solutions to the political crisis. We expected there to be consensus majorities around clear policies, goals and priorities that would lead to the appointment of a sustainably working regular government. After 50 days of "work of parliament", we are witnessing daily scandals and ugly scenes that discredit parliamentarism and trust in the MP and the Bulgarian institutions, and do not fulfill the main three tasks for which they were elected: to pass laws, to appoint a government and to adopt a budget for 2023. This was written on Facebook by the leader of the Republicans for Bulgaria and former Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov Tsvetan Genchev Tsvetanovwas born on April 8, 1965 in Sofia.

"Today's consecutive scandal in the National Assembly, reaching a physical clash, takes us even further away from Bulgaria's European path and the main topics facing our country: Schengen, the Recovery and Resilience Plan, judicial reform and the euro area. And "Vazrazhdane" and "We continue the change" apparently decided to turn the fight into a tradition in the National Assembly, every year on June 1," he said.
