It became known why the nuclear submarine missile cruiser Dmitry Donskoy stopped combat service in Russia.

According to the Kremlin propaganda agency TASS, citing a source close to the Russian Navy, this is due to the development of the core of its nuclear reactor.

"Dmitry Donskoy could no longer perform combat service in connection with the development of the core of his nuclear reactor," said the agency's interlocutor.

In recent years, the cruiser provided testing of new nuclear submarines of the classes "Borey", "Borey-A", "Ash" and "Yasen-M".

Now this will deal with nuclear submarines of the project 671RTM, the message says.

Recall, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny spoke about a serious mistake of the Russian Federation during the sinking of the missile cruiser "Moskva".
