In the Transcarpathian region, the activities of religious organizations associated with the aggressor country Russia were banned. The ban also applies to other NGOs related to the Kremlin.

This is stated in the decision of the regional council.

The decision "On ensuring the strengthening of national security in the sphere of activities of public and religious organizations in the territory of the Transcarpathian region" was supported by deputies of the regional council.

"Prohibit on the territory of the Transcarpathian region the activities of religious, church, public and other organizations that cooperate or are associated with the aggressor country by the Russian Federation," the document says.

The deputies also add recommendations to law enforcement agencies to ensure a quick and effective response to the detection of facts of anti-Ukrainian propaganda by representatives of religious, public and other organizations.

Recall that the results of a poll by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation indicate that more than half of Ukrainians believe that the UOC-MP has contributed to the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. Most of all, this opinion is widespread in the western part of our state - 60% of respondents spoke affirmatively about it.
