Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally party has been accused of acting as a conduit for Russian influence in France.

This was reported by AFP, citing a report of a parliamentary committee on foreign interference, BTA reported.

The authors of the document, parts of which leaked today, stressed that the National Front party (the predecessor of the National Rally) was pushing Moscow's "line" at the time of Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea in March 2014.

A few months before the illegal referendum, the far-right party had received a loan from a Russian-Czech bank that no longer exists. The amount was 9 million euros.

In response, Le Pen criticised the report. She described him as dishonest and completely politicized.
