The gang members had come to Gurugram to carry out a major robbery and kidnapping.

Gurugram Police has arrested seven accused who were planning a robbery in Mehandwada Bhondsi on a tip-off. After interrogating them, three more of their accomplices have been arrested. During preliminary interrogation of the accused, the police have found that all of them are active shooters of notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gang. They had come to Gurugram to carry out a major robbery and kidnapping.

The arrested accused were identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Anil (24), Harjot Singh alias Leela (23), Ajay Isharwalia alias Punjabi (20), Prince alias Golu (18), Joginder alias Joga (31), Sandeep alias Deep (23) and Sinderpal alias Bittu (33). After interrogating them, three other accused Dharmendra alias Dharma (27), Deepak alias Dilawar (26) and Bharat son Karan (24) were nabbed from near Rajiv Chowk Devi Lal Stadium. Illegal weapons were also recovered from them. A case has been registered at Bhondsi police station in Gurugram for planning to commit robbery by holding the accused hostage.

The accused told the police during interrogation that they are the shooters of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gang. According to the plan they had planned to carry out the robbery and kidnapping, Joginder alias Joga was a police inspector and other members were also going to commit the crime wearing police uniform. They had plans to kidnap a person and extort crores of rupees as ransom.

Acp Varun Dahiya said that the accused have told that they commit the crime at the behest of Goldy Brar, Rohit Godara and Veeru sitting abroad. To carry out this incident, they had brought police uniforms, belts, shoes etc. They were in constant touch with Goldie Brar etc. sitting abroad and on their instructions, they wanted to kidnap a person from Gurugram and collect a ransom of crores of rupees from him.

Cases of robbery, robbery, attempt to murder, theft, assault, threatening, possession of illegal arms etc. are registered against these accused in various districts of Haryana including Bhiwani, Panchkula, Sirsa, Ambala, Gurugram, Mohali (Punjab) and Rajasthan.

The police have recovered four pistols, 4 live cartridges, two vehicles, a stick, a torch and seven police dresses from the accused. It has also been found that the Honda City car found in his possession was stolen from Delhi.

Gang members have long criminal record

Jogendra alias Joga is a wanted criminal. Originally this village is a resident of Bardunai district Bhiwani. More than 15 cases of serious crimes like robbery, robbery, murderous assault, extortion are registered against him. He has been jailed several times. He was lodged in Ambala jail for five years from 2017 to October 2021. He was released from jail in 5. He was arrested in February 2021 and came out on bail after nearly 2022 days. Since then, he has not appeared in court on appearance and was on the run. In some cases, he has not even been arrested. While lodged in Patiala jail, he met Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang members and after that he became an active member of this gang.

Harjot Singh alias Neela is originally from village Badarkalai, District Moga (Punjab). Six cases of assault, attempt to murder and possession of drugs have been registered against him at Badhani Kalan Moga police station in Punjab.

Sinderpal alias Bittu, originally a resident of village Kalwanoo, district Patiala (Punjab), has three cases registered against him in Patiala for crimes like robbery, drugs.

Sandeep alias Deep, originally a resident of village Sisai (Hisar), has a case of attempt to murder registered against him.

Ajay Isharwalia alias Punjabi is originally from Isharwal (Bhiwani) and a case has also been registered against him.

The accused are being interrogated and information about their criminal records is also being collected. The accused will be produced in court and taken into police custody.
