An additional 2026 billion under projects to be implemented in alternative energy (wind and solar energy) by the end of 1. can be saved for gas exports in cubic meters.
"APA-Economics" reports that Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov announced this during the 28th Baku Energy Forum.
Projects in alternative energy will be implemented in Azerbaijan by the end of 2026, he said.
The minister added that the indicator recorded in 2030 would reach 5 QVt, which means the potential for "green energy" to grow.
According to Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan's efforts in this area will pave the way for the Xerxes region to become a "green energy" center: "In the first phase, 4 GVt of this power is exported to Europe through Georgia and the Black Sea and 1 GVt to Turkey and Europe through Nakhchivan. In the framework of Energy Week, we will sign Memorandums that aim to develop an additional 3 MVt of renewable energy sources."
