Informationally, Ukraine and Western partners are very good at "playing" the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, yesterday the information space was shaken by the statement of Polish President Andrzej Duda, who said: do not think that Russia has already lost this war, do not laugh at its Soviet tanks of the 60s Soviet. We must bear in mind that Ukraine has less than 40 million people, Russia has more than 100 million people.

Also, the head of the Czech General Staff, General Karel Rzehka, said that in the end it is necessary to prepare NATO for war with Russia.

In an interview with TSN.ua, the director of the New Geopolitics Research Network Mykhailo Samus commented on the statements of Western leaders regarding NATO's preparations for war with the Russian Federation.

"I support these statements because in fact, Russia is really a huge country, and they have a lot of resources. I would add that, in addition to old tanks, old planes and artillery, they also, unfortunately, have a lot of money. And although sanctions there cut off their oil gas monthly revenues by about half — it was 100 billion, now it is 50 billion. But this is also good money. For 50 billion a month, if you do not invest in the population, you can fight for a long time, especially if there are countries like Iran and there are opportunities to circumvent sanctions, you can buy microchips somewhere in other markets, then fifty billion make it possible to conduct this war for a long time, let's say. And here solidarity consolidated support by our allies is of great importance, so that we can overlap with quality and asymmetry. That is, quality must beat quantity. This is very important," Samus said.

According to him, the financial resource of Ukraine should be stable.

"It is very important that our economic stability does not prevent us from waging this war. That is, what may the President of Poland, the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Republic mean? That even if we clear our territory, including Crimea, the war may not end. That is, this does not mean that Putin will sign a capitulation. He can self-isolate in conditions if he has more money. It can continue to restore its potential, it can strike Ukraine with missiles, it can conduct sabotage actions and it can try to conduct operations against other countries. And here I absolutely agree that operations can be carried out against the Baltic states. The same Suwalski corridor is cut, the Baltic countries are cut off from NATO countries and missile strikes begin, landing troops, for example, in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. This is a huge threat actually," he said.

The expert recalled the events of the nineties.

"Nobody will fight, disarmament, conversion, cut tanks into some civilian devices, etc. As a result, Western, especially European armies were preparing for peace. I even remember that when you talk there with officers, generals of the European army, he says we are ready for peace, our army is an army of peace, not war, and this is true. That is, it is possible to conduct some operations abroad using strategic aviation, helicopters, to conduct some actions with special operations forces, mobile forces. Yes, they could, but we and our allies have forgotten how to conduct a total defense of the territories of NATO countries," the expert added.

According to him, for this purpose, the military economy is now being restored, the production of millions of ammunition is being restored, because earlier there was no need to produce so many of them, if we have mobile operations, we absolutely do not need shells for this.

"Artillery is beginning to be produced, long-range high-precision means and, most importantly, a new understanding of what alliance is is being formed. Ukraine, as for me, is now such a center of formation, even understanding what strategic autonomy is, Macron constantly talks about it. But in fact, he still does not understand what it is. Strategic autonomy is being developed now in Ukraine, and it is very important, remembering that there will be a NATO summit in Vilnius soon, we would like our allies to become," he said.

The day before, Polish President Andrzej Duda stressed that for Russia, the citizens of his country are now "enemy No. 1, not counting Ukraine itself."
