In case of non-appearance of a person liable for military service to undergo a military medical commission (VLK), there are two possible types of liability – administrative or criminal.

This was reported on the b2bconsult portal by lawyer Bogdan Peresada.

Violation of Article 210-1 provides for administrative liability. Ukrainians can get a fine in the amount of 100 to 200 thousand rubles, and officials – from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. The maximum fine is 3400-5100 hryvnias.

Also, those liable for military service may face criminal liability, which is provided for in Article 336 of the Criminal Code. The penalty under this article is imprisonment for a term of three to five years.

Persons who did not pass a medical examination are likely to face administrative liability for failure to appear on the summons.

"That is, you need to understand that there may be an attempt to prosecute, but an attempt to bring to justice does not mean that there will be such responsibility. If such a situation arises, you will need to contact a lawyer for legal assistance. In my opinion, the most likely may be an attempt to bring to administrative responsibility," the lawyer said.

Recall, the lawyer named two ways to properly serve summonses.
