From 2024, citizens of 60 countries with visa-free travel with the European Union will have to pay €7 per person for a special ETIAS permit to enter the EU.

It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

"The new access system for visiting EU countries, the so-called "European Entry Authorization System" (ETIAS), should enter into force in 2024. Under this program, citizens of countries traditionally traveling to the European Union without visas must obtain a special permit to enter or transit through the EU. Registration will cost 7 euros, permission must be issued no later than 96 hours before the trip", – stated in the message.

The list of countries that can take advantage of this program includes Albania, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, South Korea, Ukraine, UAE, Great Britain, USA and others.

It should be noted that travelers will not need to pay a fee every time - it will be valid for three years or until the expiration date of the passport. The ETIAS will allow you to stay in the European Union for up to 90 days within six months.

Recall that the corresponding innovation was going to be introduced in November 2023, but then it was decided to postpone it due to numerous concerns of EU member states.
