Croatian President Koran Milanović, known for his pro-Russian views, believes that the slogan "Glory to Ukraine!" refers to chauvinists and has the same origin as the exclamation of the Croatian Ustaše "We are ready for home."
The edition writes about it N1.
Milanović, during the awards ceremony of the city of Zagreb, spoke about the use by right-wing forces of the slogan Ustaše "For the house ready", which is officially banned in Croatia.
"There is no difference between 'Ready for Home' and 'Glory to Ukraine'. This is the cry of the most radical chauvinists of Western Ukraine who collaborated with the Nazis and killed thousands of Jews and Poles... I don't want to hear that in Croatia," he said.
He added that he was not interested in why some politicians were "hooked" on this slogan and offered to come up with some other.
Case: The slogan "Glory to Ukraine!" began to be used in the 19th century and was common in the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic, which operated in the early 20th century. Later, it began to be used by Plast organizations, as well as political movements.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that Milanovich said that the Crimea "will never return under the control of Ukraine".
Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that they considered unacceptable such statements by the pro-Russian President of Croatia Zoran Milanovic.
