The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the information that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov provided Kyiv City Council deputy Vladislav Trubitsyn with a letter to travel abroad, after which the latter fled.

This was reported by Radio Liberty.

The deputy is under investigation for bribery and his case was supposed to be considered by the High Anti-Corruption Court, but he did not appear at the hearing after he went abroad.

The DIU confirmed that the agency provided Trubitsyn with a letter of assistance in leaving the country, but say they did so at the request of another structure. However, they refused to name her.

"Such a letter was issued at the request of another structure of the component of the security and defense forces of Ukraine within the framework of interagency cooperation with this structure and at their official request. At the moment, I cannot name this structure, perhaps this information can be made public later," said Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Intelligence Directorate.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that the deputy of the Kiev Council from the "Servant of the People" Vladislav Trubitsyn, who is accused of bribery, was able to leave the country using a letter from the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence Kirill Budanov.

On May 16, 2023, the accused deputy Trubitsyn violated his obligations and did not appear at the court hearing, lawyers could not disclose the whereabouts of the accused, which is why the prosecutor's office initiated his announcement on the international wanted list.
