With the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector, Azerbaijan will also supply gas to Bulgaria. Through Bulgaria, we are considering the storage opportunities of gas to other countries, and our gas will soon be transmitted to neighboring countries as well. Romania is already a member of this cooperation format.

APAC reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Əliyev said this during the opening ceremony of the 28th International Xerxes Petroleum and Gas - "Caspian Oil&Gas" and the 11th Xerxes International Energy and Green Energy - "Caspian Power" exhibitions during Baku Energy Week.

"If everything goes according to plan and all interconnectors are built on time - that is, by the end of this year, - our gas will be transmitted to Hungary and Serbia," he said. "In doing so, the geography of our gas exports will expand," the head of state stressed.
