French President Emmanuel Macron said Western countries should provide Ukraine with "tangible and reliable security guarantees."

This publication informs Le Monde.

The French President said that the issue of providing Ukraine with security guarantees would be the subject of collective discussions in the coming weeks.

Macron noted that today the Ukrainian military defends Europe and is very well armed, so Western countries should be interested in the fact that "it had reliable security guarantees with us on a multilateral basis."

The French president also added that Western countries should show greater ambitions than it has been so far.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that Ukraine and allies are planning a summit of the formula of peace, but it will be held without representatives of Russia.

In addition, we previously reported that diplomat Valeriy Chaly said that Ukraine can receive only three real security guarantees. We are talking about joining NATO, a defense agreement with a nuclear power and a missile program.
