Lithuanian authorities suggest that the Lukashenka regime may try to destabilize the situation during the NATO summit in Vilnius by using illegal migrants.
This was stated by the head of the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania Rustamas Lubaevas, informs Delfi.
He said that Lithuania constantly monitors the situation on the border with Belarus, and also maintains constant contact with counterintelligence.
"There is a possibility that the Lukashenka regime and its cronies will try to use this weapon against us, organizing the pushing of illegal migrants into our territory either to the west or during it," he said.
Liubaevas added that the agency is closely monitoring the situation not only in Belarus, but also in Russia.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that Lithuania wants to bring to justice propagandists Solovyov and Krasovsky.
In addition, we previously reported that the Belarusian military deployed at least ten tanks to the border with Lithuania, as well as other heavy military equipment.
