Ex-Chairman of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev found an explanation for the $ 0.5 million found in his possession. He says that this money is his friends, and at home he kept it temporarily.

Vsevolod Knyazev is suspected of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale. During the investigation, an additional $ 0.5 million was found in his possession, which, according to him, allegedly belonged to his friends, and he himself temporarily kept them.

"This is the money of my friends, families of businessmen before going abroad before the war began, they asked me to save this money. This is confirmed by relevant evidence," Knyazev said in court.

He also added that the bailiffs took his phone from him, so he could not call friends. Knyazev himself expects that representatives of his defense will get in touch with him.

"After that, I expect this family to file appropriate procedural appeals," Knyazev concluded.

Recall that in the corruption scheme organized by the ex-chairman of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev and lawyer Oleg Goretsky, notary Kirill Gorburov was involved. Since childhood, he was friends with Judge Knyazev and was the godfather of his family.
