We will never forget the sacrifices of Corona warriors: Saurabh Bhardwaj

New Delhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday presented a compensation of Rs 1998 crore to the family of a nurse who lost her life while working as a frontline warrior during the coronavirus pandemic. Sharma had been working as a nurse at GTB Hospital since 2024 and was due to retire in January <>. Sharma is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter.

Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said, "During her many years of service in the health department, she was dedicated to serving the people. There can be no price for his life, but this honor amount is a tribute to the sacrifice made by the Corona warrior on behalf of the Kejriwal government. The Kejriwal government is giving financial assistance of Rs 1 crore each to the families of Corona warriors of Delhi who lost their lives due to Corona, so that they can get some relief.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that many Corona warriors put their lives at stake while serving humanity and society. We heartily salute their hard work and their passion to fight the pandemic. We will never forget the sacrifice of corona warriors. The Kejriwal government will always stand with his family in every sorrow and crisis. I pray to God that the soul of corona warriors rests in peace.

Late Gayatri Sharma is survived by her husband Yagyadutt Sharma and a son and daughter. Daughter Megha is doing post graduation. At the same time, the son studies in Gautam Hindu College.
