The initiative to hold international exhibitions in Azerbaijan was initiated by The World Leader, the founder of an independent Azerbaijani state, and a prominent political and government minister, Heydər Əliyev. In 1994 the exhibitions were supported by the General Leader. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ulu Oder Heydər Əliyev. This landmark event will also be reflected in the programmes of all exhibitions on the calendar. The organizers and participants of Baku Energy Week never forget the role of General Leader Heydər Əliyev in shaping Azerbaijan's exhibition industry and commemorate his memory with deep respect. To that end, during Baku Energy Week, a mailbox dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ulu Oder Heydər Əliyev was released. The framework will also feature a stand dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydər Əliyev.
Traditionally, high-ranking guests are also attending Baku Energy Week this year.
It is no coincidence that companies, high-level guests, government officials, and international energy experts from many countries gathered in Baku. The capital of Azerbaijan has long become a place where prestigious events have been organized and important decisions and cooperation have been discussed. Additionally, as a result of Azerbaijan's successful energy policy, our country has already spoken out in the energy sector. Today, Azerbaijan plays an important role not only in ensuring energy security but also in other countries.
The influence and high status of Baku Energy Week are also confirmed by the expanding composition of its sponsors. Baku Energy Week sponsors SOCAR: Abu Dhabi Port, ACWA Power, Ansaldo Energia, AZEL SYSTEMS, Azerbaijan M-I Drilling Fluids, AZFEN, Baku Steel Company, bp, Caspian Drilling Company, Caspian Marine Services, Equinor, EP Absheron, Intertek, Global Energy Azerbaijan, GL, Inpex, KOLIN Construction, MASDAR, Tekfen, Total Energies, Turkish Petroleum, Uniper, Ural Steel. Boston Consulting Group is an intellectual partner of the Baku Energy Forum. Improtex Motors, a BMW interior company, is introducing a new electric car model at the forum.
The Caspian Oil&Gas exhibition has become a platform for significant cooperation in the oil, gas and energy sector for 27 years. Each year, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Əliyev, reaffirms the high status of the exhibition. The first individuals from the United States, Britain, Turkey, and other countries sent letters of congratulations to the exhibition, which had been organized for many years. Traditionally, high-ranking guests attend Baku Energy Week.
Major oil projects in the Xerxes region and energy security in the region will be discussed at the Caspian Oil&Gas Exhibition. Important topics covered by the exhibition include the use of oil and gas deposits, the storage and production of oil and gas, the provision of pipeline safety systems, oil/gas emissions, construction in the energy sector, innovative technologies, financial and legal services, the chemical industry, and so on.
Another event organized on the same dates as the Caspian Oil&Gas exhibition is the Xerxes International Energy and Green Energy Caspian Power Exhibition. The exhibition diary reflects innovations and suggestions from international and local companies in the development and use of energy and renewable energy sources. The exhibition will discuss solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, heat energy, nuclear power, automotive and energy equipment, electric vehicles and electrical appliances, energy and resource-saving technologies and other topics. There will be a number of events on the tax days.
There is also a press pavilion. It features a number of well-known publications, magazines, newspapers, and information agencies, as well as Internet portals. Companies already working in the broadcast and media sector from 7 countries provide information support for the event. Among them are Spain's "ROGTEC", Russia's "Automation i IT v neftegazovoyotrasli", "Neft i Capital" and "Bureniye I Oil", Kazakhstan's "Petroleum" and "Kazservis", Uzbekistan's "Bright Uzbekistan" and "Top Business", Turkey's "Service"; Britain's Petrol Plaza and Energy Monitor, Italy's Corrosion Protection, Azerbaijan's Azerbaijani Petroleum Agriculture, Caspian Energy, Azerbaijan, 1News, ABC.az, AAPA Group, Renewables.az, and Caspian Barrel.
The summer exhibition season will conclude with the Baku Energy Forum. The forum will discuss energy issues that are important to both Azerbaijan and the Xerxes region. More than 600 delegates will traditionally attend the forum. The initiative will include discussions on new energy conditions during the transition period, including global energy security, the role of Azerbaijan's energy sector in Europe's energy security and energy balance, and so on. The desk, dedicated to the development scenarios of the new global energy order, will discuss topics such as the process of global energy transition, ways to accelerate the transition of energy during the energy crisis. Additionally, the event will focus on the renewable energy sources and potential of the Xerxes region, their use, the development of infrastructure for renewable energy sources, and the implementation of green energy projects.
Among the important topics to be raised at the Baku Energy Forum were pure zero emissions and the Zero Waste program. The Zero Waste program, a set of principles aimed at preventing waste, will also be implemented within the framework of the forum for the first time. To that end, the use of printing presses will be minimized during the event, prioritizing electronic devices and applying the principle of optimal use of food under the international Zero Waste Food initiative. The Baku Convention Center, where the event will be held, was also built in an ecological concept. The center saves on spending on energy use through installed solar power panels.
Baku Energy Week plays a role in the development of important partnerships. New partnerships are also expected to be signed up as part of the event this year. On the third day of the event, a memorandum of cooperation will be signed at the Baku Convention Center between the companies "3sim", "Caspian Event Organisers" and "Iteca Caspian".
Traditionally, bilateral business meetings (B2B) will be held within the framework of the exhibitions. Here representatives of local and foreign companies will be able to discuss cooperation and future partnerships in a face-to-face format.
The CaspianOil&Gas exhibition will also feature a number of silences and panel discussions. The exhibition days will include a panel discussion entitled "Innovations in Digitalization and Automation in the Petroleum and Gas Industry," "Return to the Future: Exploitation, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Old Wells," "New Ways to Drill Oil and Gas Wells," "Opportunities for Small and Medium Business to Supply Oil and Gas Companies," and "Women in Power." Colin Construction is the sponsor of the presentation zone where the silence and panel discussions are held.
Additionally, the Baku Energy Forum will feature a startup called Econotes for students of the Mini Boss school. The idea of a startup is pens with seeds on its head. Children who are the creators of the startup have said that Econotes is a pen made of ecologically clean materials in Azerbaijan. "Once the capsules containing seeds on the head are reduced in the size of a stuck pen, it's lassy to plant it on the bottom to sprout it." Representatives attending the forum will also be presented with the pen.
The Baku Energy Week, organized this year, will include silences on important topics in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan. Therefore, in the context of the "Year of Heydər Əliyev," a special silence dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Teacher will reflect the city's historical significance. Additionally, there are plans to turn Armenia into a green energy zone at the state level. The country's leader, Ilham Əliyev, said some time ago that there is great potential for the construction of a water power plant in Armenia, as well as some steps to be taken to build a solar power plant. In this regard, it is of great importance to organize silence on "Nakhchivan and Eastern Zagreb's renewable energy potential." In addition to panel sessions in the city of Armenia, a cultural program — a city tour and a concert program — will be held in Nakhchivan.
The organizers of the initiative are Iteca Caspian, Caspian Event Oraganisers, and their international partners - ICA Events, CEM FZ LLC.
