A flight with irregular migrants returned by Bahamian authorities returned to Cuba on Tuesday 16 people (11 men, four women and two minors), most of them from Matanzas and Cienfuegos.

The operation took place at José Martí International Airport. It is the fifteenth made by the Bahamas, with a total of 638 people.

One of the returned migrants was on probation at the time of his illegal departure from the country and will be placed at the disposal of the appropriate courts for the revocation of that benefit.

In 2023 there have been 77 returns, with 3879 returnees from countries in the area with which bilateral migration agreements are maintained.
