During Kyiv's night attack by the occupiers on May 30, air defenses shot down 29 out of 31 launched "shahed". The military expert named the reasons for the wave of enemy attacks on Ukraine.

This was discussed in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua military analyst, Colonel Petro Chernyk.

"Ukrainians won a strategic duel with enemy "analogue no" weapons. X-47M2 "Dagger" shot down 6 out of six. This is a very serious image blow to the Russian Federation. It still remains the second manufacturer of a wide variety of weapons. And now the countries that buy it from them will think about whether it is worth doing in the future. Especially, anti-aircraft missile and missile, and therefore this is a reason to burn down Patriot and show that they still have some serious potential," Chernik said.

The expert named the second reason for the active Russian shelling of Ukraine. According to him, the occupiers are terribly afraid of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"They strike deep into our territory because they believe they can find logistical points where armored vehicles coming from the West are located, as well as other weapons," Chernik added.

At the same time, the level of movement of Ukrainian air defense systems is slightly reduced, which is another reason to strike deep into Ukraine.

"In part, they achieve results. Such air defense work depletes the total stock of missiles. But in the overall strategic context, they will not achieve the most important goal. They will not be able to turn the tide of this war," the expert explained.

Recall that on May 30, Kyiv was once again attacked by drones. Debris fell in several areas of the capital. So, in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, a residential building was damaged, there are victims.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a 33-year-old resident of the house went to the balcony to see how drones were shot down. This led to her death.
